Smooth setup, good questions

I decided to try Water Cooler Trivia for our department vs department trivia. The setup process for the Slack integration was straightforward; it took about 10 minutes to get everything linked up. We opted for a custom trivia game focusing on pop culture, and the questions were surprisingly current and well-researched, not just generic stuff. Delivery was always on time each week, and the automated grading system worked perfectly. I had a quick question about pausing my subscription at one point, and customer support replied within a few hours with clear instructions. It's a reliable platform for employee engagement and really boosts company culture. I'd recommend it.

Consistent fun for the team

We've been using Water Cooler Trivia for over a year now, and I just renewed our monthly trivia subscription. This time I included one of their holiday trivia packs for December. The consistency is what keeps me coming back; the questions are always fresh, and the automated delivery to Microsoft Teams never misses. It's just as reliable as my previous orders, and the team always looks forward to it.

Good for team fun

I signed up for the monthly trivia subscription for my team, and it's been pretty good. The automated quizzes delivered via Slack worked well, and everyone seemed to enjoy the weekly challenge. It definitely helped with some office icebreakers. My only small criticism is that I wish there were a few more category options available, or maybe a way to suggest new ones more easily. Still, for the price, it's solid value for team building.

Great value, worth it

I tried the 4-week free trial for our remote team and then switched to the annual billing discount. It saved us a good chunk of money. The remote work games helped a lot. Definitely felt worth the purchase.

Hey, wondering how the free trial works? Is it like a full month or just a few days to test it out?

M Michelle Phillips 4 weeks ago
Yeah, it's pretty solid, I got 4 weeks totally free. Let you really see if it fits your team.

Can confirm, it's a generous trial. Enough time to get a couple of rounds in with your team and see how they like it.

I'm thinking about switching from monthly to annual billing. Is the discount worth it?

W William Robinson 1 week ago
Definitely. I switched after a few months and the savings were pretty good, like 15-20% off. Worth it if you're planning to stick with it.

Yeah, it's a noticeable discount. If your team is into it, it's a no-brainer to save some cash.

Anyone know if they offer a discount for non-profits? Trying to keep costs down for our organization.

J Justin Thomas 2 weeks ago
I'm pretty sure they do! I remember seeing something about non-profit pricing when I signed up.

Yeah, they definitely have a non-profit discount. You'll need to reach out to their support team about it though, it's not automatic from what I recall.

Does this work with Microsoft Teams okay? My company is all in on Teams and I don't want to sign up if it's gonna be buggy.

R Rachel Lopez 3 weeks ago
Yep, we use it with Teams. It's pretty seamless, questions just show up in a channel and people answer there.

Yeah, it works fine. I think it's one of their main integrations, so it's not some afterthought.

What's the deal with pricing? Is it like per person or for the whole team? Hard to tell from the site.

E Elizabeth 3 weeks ago
I think it's usually per user, but they have different tiers. You'd probably want to get a quote for your team size.

L Laura Moore 3 weeks ago
It's per person, but it gets cheaper if you have a lot of people or go for annual billing. Worth asking them directly though.

Thinking about getting this for our remote team. Is it actually worth it for keeping folks engaged, or just another thing to ignore?

N Nathan Roberts 2 days ago
Honestly, for us it's been great. We use the Slack integration and it just pops up, super easy for people to jump in without much fuss.

Totally depends on your team culture, but for mine, it's a fun little brain break. Better than staring at another spreadsheet, lol.

Can you actually customize the trivia categories or is it just whatever they give you?

L Laura White 1 week ago
You can customize them a fair bit! We always swap out a few categories to make it more relevant to our team.

J John 6 days ago
Yeah, they give you options. It's not totally open-ended like you write every question, but you can pick and choose themes.

How does this compare to something like Kahoot? We've used Kahoot in the past but it feels a bit clunky for regular use.

M Mary Roberts 1 week ago
WCT is way more chill for ongoing stuff. Kahoot feels more like an event thing. WCT is automated and just happens.
6
P Patricia 1 week ago
Yeah, WCT is all about the 'set it and forget it' for weekly quizzes. Kahoot is more interactive live, but that's not what WCT is for.
